1st Birthday Party Ideas for that Memorable Celebration

A baby turning one is a grand reason to celebrate and you want to have that first birthday party that will always be remembered and cherished. Here are some first birthday party ideas to help you in planning that memorable party.

Tea Party for the Lady. Tea party is a lovely and feminine way to celebrate your baby girl’s first birthday. You can have the party in a garden setting or the traditional teddy bear or patterned into Alice in Wonderland. The color and decorations of the party will depend on the theme you have chosen. You can also ask your guests to dress appropriately for the theme and serve them tea party foods like cookies, sandwiches and flavored teas.

Steppin’ Out Birthday Party. (Not sure if pwede change, but I already did sa first. Another title can be Step One for One. Haha pauso ba?) This party theme is focused on your baby’s first steps. The party can be decorated with colors like pink for girls or blue for boys and have games that are related to walking, skipping and stepping. The childrens birthday cakes and invites can be shaped and patterned into your baby’s favorite shoes. You can also request your guests to give shoes or socks as presents for your baby.

Zoo Party. There are two ways you can have the party with this theme. One is to arrange a trip to the local zoo with your guests and their kids and then move to a place, your house or a restaurant, for the celebration (food, cakes and games). The second one is to coordinate with your local zoo if they allow home appearances and bring in some zoo animals that your guest and their children can interact with. You can also have it in a restaurant or club house, wherever you choose to have the birthday party held aside from the zoo.

Baby Shower Birthday. Recreate your baby shower and utilize those year-old decorations you had during your baby shower. You can also use pictures from your baby shower as decors for the event. Ask your guests to bring a baby shower gift, which will still be useful as your supplies are running low, and a birthday gift for the celebrant. A baby birthday registry is also a good idea to have in this type of party.

Storybook Party. What is your child’s favorite storybook? Can it be Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan, Snow White or the Three Little Pigs? Or is your baby fond of a particular character like Thomas the Train or does he/she loves listening to some nursery rhymes? You can get your inspiration for your birthday party from these. Some of these stories are widely used and popular right now and you may be able to get decorations and tableware for the chosen story theme. Design your party in a way that you bring your guests into the world of your child’s favorite story.

These are just some first birthday party ideas to get you started. Stretch your imagination and creativity and have your superb first birthday party which you can always look back and cherish.
